From 1994 -1998, I went to college in San Marcos, Texas determined to become an actress. There was a year in Austin after college where I performed in plays and designed a set or two, but by the time I left Texas for New York in 1999, I was a painter. I finished my MFA at the School of Visual Arts in 2001. While in New York, I showed in group exhibitions at several galleries including Richard Andersen, Lehmann Maupin, and the School of Visual Arts galleries. I moved to San Diego, California where I worked as a mural and portrait painter. In 2004, I moved to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba with my husband, an officer in the US Navy. In Cuba, I painted quietly in our home and taught art classes for the U.S. government. We are now stationed in Charleston, SC where I work from home. The Corrigan Gallery in downtown Charleston on Queen Street has recently welcomed my paintings onto its walls. Outside of New York City, I have been lucky enough to show from Los Angles county, to Austin, TX, to Hof, Germany and am grateful for continuing opportunities.
